Kea Construction Technology is a specialist service provider at the intersection of construction, technology, and innovation. Based in Wellington, we bring together deep on-site experience and digital expertise to help bridge the gap between BIM and field.

Founded by Cara Daggar and Luke Ferguson Hribar, Kea was born out of a desire to ensure that the gains made in the digital space don’t get lost in translation to site.

Cara has over 12 years experience in the construction industry—including nine years in main contractor site management, and before that, a strong background in technical detailing. Over this time - she has built a reputation for pragmatic, hands-on BIM leadership. Cara has tested and refined robust BIM-to-field workflows using tools like 3D scanners and Total Stations, and works closely with skilled trades to ensure each approach  works where it matters most: on site.

Luke leads Operations at Kea bringing commercial expertise to the team. A qualified electrician turned Quantity Surveyor, he has 22 years experience in the construction industry, 9 of those with a main contractor. Luke’s analytical mindset and passion for technology are helping drive Kea’s growth into BIM-enabled cost management.

Cara and Luke are highly proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Synchro 4D, Navisworks, Recap and Point Layout and bring a forward thinking approach to every project. Together, They are committed to making a meaningful impact in the construction industry—through smarter workflows, strong relationships, and a whole lot of curiosity and grit.
